One of the first things we purchased when we moved to our deluxe apartment in the sky was a pair of binoculars. Although they have come in handy when there is an emergency water rescue at the harbor or checking out Wrigley Field from afar, their best use has been spying on the neighbors.
Oh please, like you wouldn't be curious? When you are surrounded by many multi-family structures, it is only human nature to check out, say, how their apartment is decorated, or what they are up to. I mean, they don't have curtains, so what do they expect? (I actually thought about doing a photo project based on captured moments in my neighbor's personal spaces, but that would have probably got me arrested.)
Throughout the years, we have had many fun and interesting things to look at...
- Many amorous encounters (one guy bedded a new girl every single day it seemed)
- A kitchen fire (for which the fire department was never called apparently, because they never showed up)
- A poor old lady who would climb into bed every day at 5pm
- A top-heavy naked girl doing step aerobics (this one was at least three nights a week, outside our kitchen window, usually while we were making dinner. We were sad when she moved out.)
- Two topless girls drinking wine - seriously, what is that?
2 Whachoo Say?:
I've always wished secretley to myself that I could have an apartment in the sky and spy on my neighbours... haha, thanks for sharing
Aha, that's not creepy at all!
